I never thought I had sensitive teeth in the past – I just thought the feeling I had after brushing was normal. I have been wanting to try an electric toothbrush for quite sometime, and my dental hygenist does recommend the Philips Sonicare, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to spend that kind of money without really knowing how well they worked.The opportunity to try one out for myself, well a great chance to see how this product works and if it really is worth the money.
Well, here is what I can tell you: as a person who has used a manual toothbrush for most of my life, I felt a little silly the first time I used this. I had to “learn” to wait till I got it in my mouth before I turned it on so I didn’t spray toothpaste everywhere. After getting used to that, I found it quite easy to use and I love the high-quality look of it. I didn’t know if I would like having it sit out on my bathroom counter, but it looks very elegant (as much as a toothbrush can) and the cord is long enough that you can move the base around and hide the cord behind things on the counter.
There are several things I really like about this prouduct:
- The charger. They give you a small plastic stand or a realyl nice glass to use as a charger.
- The travel case/charger eith a usb cord. I travel a lot for business and it’s great to know I can bring my electric toothbrush along because the case doubles as a charger!
- The “pause” every 30 seconds so you can tell when to move the brush to another part of your mouth.
- The different settings. Clean, white, gum care, polish. I have tried them all, but I mainly use the regular clean setting,and my teeth feel so clean!
Actually, it looks like that is the only thing I do not like. The Phillips Sonicare Diamond head toothbrush is an excellent choice. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a best electric toothbrush.
I bought this toothbrush about a month ago after a trip to the dentist and have absolutely fallen in love with it – although it does tickle the first few times because I wasn’t used to the vibration sensation. But it leaves your teeth feeling amazingly clean (post-dentist clean even).
